Raeven Geist-Deschamps, D. O. Ostéopathe (elle - she/her)
Raeven’s aim is to support others in their wholeness, to bolster their knowledge and experience of their own body. Though she has a vested interest and much experience with perinatal care, she works with all types of clientele, including athletes and the elderly. She also seeks to align in allyship to the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities and offers two sliding scale sessions a week to increase access to osteopathic care. She has been an osteopath since 2017 and was awarded the Clinical Excellence Prize from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal that same year. She wrote a dissertation on the perception of the autonomic nervous system in osteopathic practice. Her love of caring for folks in the perinatal period led her to complete postgraduate courses on breastfeeding (Ingrid Bayot), plagiocephaly (Dr. Thierry Marck), perinatal care, including fertility (Anne-Julie Morand, D.O.) and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (Postpartum Support International) and mindfulness in mental health and trauma (HappyTree Yoga). She also volunteered as an osteopath for la Maison Bleue. She has also completed Phases 1-6 and Pediatrics 1 and 2 in Biodynamic Osteopathy with Dr. James Jealous. She has been a Hatha yoga instructor since 2011 (Studios Lyne St. Roch), with seven of those years at Studio Vert Prana. She nourished that initial training with workshops on the spine with Judith Lasater, on pranayama with Laurier-Pierre Desjardins and retreats with Angela Farmer.
